Final Project
Hey!
I am so glad to say that I have officially finished my magazine. I am extremely excited to share this with you guys because I am very proud of the final product. This has been an amazing project and it taught me so much on how much effort and creativity goes into a magazine. I hope everyone likes it as much as I do!
Two Page Spread
Hey everyone!
I am now in the final stages of my magazine and I just finished creating my two page spread. I always had in mind to write my article about fitness, and how to fit working out into your daily routine. The workout was demonstrated my model, Hailey. I came up with the moves myself because I have many workouts from my background knowledge and previous experience. I love going to the gym and I thought I would incorporate my fast workout into the article. I chose to put a picture of Hailey planking on the top of the first page of the spread because I wanted readers to have a visual. My fonts were the same I used on my cover because I wanted the magazine to look similar throughout all the pages. My article was written by me and I just wanted it to relate to readers, and I thought by sharing the struggle of busy schedules would draw people to read more. As I began adding the pictures on the second page, I realized the background was way too plain, so I added a pink backdrop to give it some pop. I am so happy with my two page spread, and you can view it in my next post where I attach the entire magazine!
Stayed tuned!

Table of Contents
Welcome back to my blog!
I am really happy to say that creating my table contents has been very easy! I realized that canva.com had magazine templates and I found a perfect table of contents template that suited exactly what I had in mind. I used the same fonts and color pink that I used on the cover page and I was able to use another image of my model, Hailey. My goal was to have the magazine look uniformed. Although I had no problems with making the table of contents, my partner Brooke wasn't so lucky. She had to redo her's because ours ended up being very different. She ended up changing it with no problem, and I think its safe to say that were are very happy with it and won't be changing it anymore! I am so excited with my magazine and only have my article left to write! I will be doing that first thing tomorrow. I will post a picture of my table of contents below!
Be back soon to share more updates!

The Ad
I am back and have some great news!
I created another page in my magazine! So.... As you turn the cover page, you see the wonderful advertisement I made! The picture I used was from our photoshoot, but it was Brooke's model. We decided to make our advertisements using each other's models to switch things up and so the reader won't have to see the same face over and over again. In reality, magazines typically have tons of models! I decided to make my advertisement about a store called the "Carli Shop." I came up with that name because the model name is Carli and that was the first thing that came into my mind and I just went with my gut! After I had the name of the shop I was planning on advertising, I began looking at all the different options of fonts. I actually decided right away while scrolling through the fonts on Canva that I wanted to use the same one I did for the title on my cover. I tested it out, and it looked amazing! I wanted the font to be bold to get the readers attention to look at the product and google the site. Also, I used a bight purple font color to draw attention to the page. I will post a picture of the advertisement below! I am going to get my table contents started and I will be back soon to share it with you guys!
Until next time!

Set backs
Good afternoon!
As you have read in my past blogs, my process in creating my magazine has gone very smoothly but I have encountered an issue this week. So, Brooke had made her cover at the same time as I was making mine and we had very bad communication. I made a very different cover that had bright colors and bold fonts, and hers was very simple (they were polar opposites). I really liked her cover so I decided to totally redo my cover, which allowed our magazines to be more uniformed. Although I had to redo my cover and spend more time in the design process, I am really pleased with the outcome. I am so excited to share it with you guys...
So as you see our covers are very similar, mine is on the left and Brooke's is on the right. We both used canva.com to create our covers. We used all the same fonts (which were very simplistic), and our title was very bold because we wanted to catch the readers attention. I decided to make my title and subtitles pink because I wanted the color to match my model's sports bra. We also both made our cover pictures centered and close up. I am excited to finish up this magazine and see the end result!
I am happy to say I am finished with the cover!
Be back soon!

Designing My Cover
Hi!
After hours and hours of figuring out how to use the tools Joomagg has to offer, I created a wonderful magazine cover. I am going to show my cover below and I will explain my thought process behind each detail.
So the Title... I wanted it to be the same color as Hailey's sports bra! I thought the font was simple yet bold, which was exactly what I was going for.
The SLIM STONG & SEXY was an idea I got from my past research. I thought this was a perfect line to grab readers attention and I wanted the strong to be in pink to stand out.
Hailey Yaffa is the "fitness personality" and I am hoping her workout would get people opening the magazine because they are curious after seeing the cover photo. I also wanted her to be in the center of the magazine since the main article will be about her workouts.
The remaining titles are meant to grab readers attention and get them reading. Most health and lifestyle magazines advertising fitness have multiple catch phrases.
This cover is not done and I plan on making changes. I am very happy so far with what I have created and I will keep sharing my changes! See you back soon.
